Drop Forged Conveyor Chains
AMH manufactures and sells a complete range of drop forged conveyor chains with sizes ranging from 102mm to 260mm pitch. Our chains are made of a special heat treated alloy steel, case hardened to 55-62 RC with a case depth of 0.040". AMH manufactures chains specific for each application with different flight and pin configurations. All the components combine to provide the most cost effective, durable and long lasting product on the market.
Drop Forged Chain Pins
Drop forged chain pins are machined in four different styles, and range in material from 4140 HT to 17-4 PH Stainless Steel.
Mining Chains
AMH mining and long wall chains are manufactured in accordance to DIN 22252:200I standards. These chains are manufactured using a high alloy steel, and are heat treated to the range of 470-515 BHN. These chains are typically used in ash conveyor systems for coal fired and biomass generation stations.
Mining Chain Shackles
Mining Chain Shackles are forged from alloy steel and heat treated. Each shackle is precision machined to accept flight bar attachments. AMH stocks 14mm to 22mm shackles in both single and double bolt configurations.
Cast Alloy Mill and Drag Chains
We offer several custom designed chains with various attachments in addition to standard chains such as: H124, C132 and H132 Mill Chain; HD480 and HD680 Drag Chain. The chains are available in Alloy 8630 QT380-400 material as well as Hadfeild Manganese ASTM 128. The chains are assembled using machined 4140 through-hardened pins with riveted construction.
Cast Alloy C132 Combination Mill Chains
These chains are supplied in 8630 Alloy, and heat treated to 380-400 BHN. They are assembled with machined 4140 through-hardened pins. Our C132 chains have been supplied with weld on flights or cast integral attachments for double strand applications. They have been supplied and installed in Super Heater Conveyors, Economizer Conveyors, Dust Collection, Bottom Ash as well as in Hog Fuel Conveyors. AMH cast combination chains are designed with thicker cross sections, and more material in critical areas to provide the longest chain life possible.
H132 Double Strand Chains
This double strand chain was designed with cast integral A22 lugs and A53 swivel attachments. These are bolted onto Tivar 88 paddles. The chain attachment lugs are cast into the sidebar of each chain link, eliminating heat effected zones and stress caused by welding. Each 20ft section is supplied with AISI 4140 press fit pin and collar to allow for easy installation on site.
Hog Fuel Conveyor Chains
AMH square profile 1-5/8” x 2-1/4” x 8” long link chain with cast integral chairs was designed and supplied in 12 weeks for a local pulp mill to meet shut down requirements. AMH worked with a local engineering firm to develop casting methods and welding procedures. This particular chain is the backbone of the steam plant’s operations as it moves fuel from the reclaim pile directly into the power boiler.
Square Profile Long Link Chain
We offer several sizes of chain: 1-1/8” x 2” x 6”, 1-1/4” x 2” x 6” as well as 1-1/2” x 2-1/4” x 8”. These chains are cast manganese or alloy, and can be assembled with either series 400 double tang flights or cast integral 300 series flights. These chains are the square profile type to allow for greater life due to increased contact area between links.
698 Rivetless Chain
Our heat resistant 698 rivetless chain is cast using stainless steel ASTM 297 grade HN. This material was selected to provide excellent service life in these demanding conditions. This chain was manufactured in the investment casting process to maintain the tolerances required. The chain was installed in a hot lime drag conveyor application, which transports hot lime at 1800 Deg F directly under the kiln to a bucket elevator.
Rivetless Chains & Accessories
AMH rivetless chains are manufactured in accordance with ANSI B29.22M standards. These chains are forged in high alloy, heat treated steel. Chains are also available in high temperature and food grade stainless steel. AMH manufactures a wide range of attachments such as S22, K2 and A53, in either fabricated or cast design. We can design and build attachments custom for your application.
